Timeline of Events

Erona has had, according to Mycean reckoning, three distinct ages, each of which began with a calamity that befell the world. The first age, the Fabled Age, has no real timeline of events, being steeped in myth and legend. It ended in the God-War, a fabled battle where two human demi-gods and two primordial gods (Pyos, Luminor, Bel, Anzo) rose against the other gods for supremacy of the heavens, and won, leaving the world to mortals.

The Mycean Age

Year Event
0 M.A. The mythical founding of Mycea, supposedly by Pyos after the God-War as a departing gift to mortals
~150 M.A. Founding of the First League as a check against a growing, rival league, the two locked into bitter conflict for decades, followed by peace, only to be followed by war again.
~600 M.A. Mycean colonisation of eastern Halcyon begins by sea. The region will eventually become Ceneria.
~750-~1250 M.A. Peak Mycean dominance after uniting all of Halcyon under the League against outside threats. Heavenly Iron forging begins, Arcanum is codified in the First Sanctum.
1443 M.A. The Collapse. Earthquakes, floods, eruptions, asteroid strikes. Halcyon splits in two: Osera in the east, Hesperon in the west. Mycea destroyed; most First League cities destroyed. Karsolam alone survives in Hesperon, isolated. The Mycean culture, as a continuous polity, ends.

The Dark Age

Year Event
0 D.A. - ~80 D.A. Erona reels under the effects of the Collapse. Survivors regroup on Osera, now the eastern half of former Halcyon, which was least affected by the flood due to its rugged landscape. The days are dark and grey, and soot falls from the sky, earning these 80 odd years the nomer of Dark Age. Mist first begins to appear. The 2nd to 6th Sanctums are founded and burned as scapegoats for the Collapse.

The Cenerian Age

Year Event
0 C.A. Cenerian League founded by the Archon of Enetia and Pallas as a union of northern and southern Ceneria against threats both natural and unnatural.
11 C.A. The Seventh Sanctum is founded and given formal protections by Pallas.
79 C.A. Karsolam re-establishes contact with the east, nominally joins the Cenerian League for trade.
112 C.A. Thalen Migration begins under king Aldric, fleeing the rotting Unsung Lands and crossing Karrow into Osera until they reach the sea, conquering Ostellyth.
114 C.A. First battles between Brethiln and Thalen begin. Rogan is elected Great Chieftain of all Brethil clans by the Moot to resist the invaders.
118 C.A. The Battle of Oathbridge ends in Thalen victory, resulting in the formation of the kingdom of Thalendor in the southern half of Brethil. Aldric and most of his nobles convert to the Sect of Pyos after the battle. Aldric dies of his wounds shortly after.
121 C.A. Normund is crowned king of Thalendor after short infighting between Aldric's children known as the Sons' War.
129-140 C.A. Voyage of Normund. Normund's armies attack and plunder much of Ceneria, ending only after the Cenerian League pays tribute and allows Thalen priests the same rights as Cenerian priests in Movenna.
138-147 C.A. Xeril's Conquests. Rurii warbands cross out of the Karrow and into southeastern Ceneria. Thenea Deuteron and Zeutania fall, Naporia resists.
139 C.A. Crowning of Andros. With the league beset on all sides, Andros is crowned as 'Sovereign' and given command of the united armies of the cities.
166 C.A. Present Day.
